Landscaping, patios & sod in Calgary
Sod, patios, retaining walls and complete yard builds for Calgary homes. Planned around our short season, built to handle freeze, thaw and chinook.
(01)About
A good yard is mostly what you don't see: proper grading, compacted base, drainage that sends spring melt away from the house. We get that right first, then build the part you'll actually enjoy, from a sandstone patio to a lawn the kids can live on.

They fixed a drainage problem two other guys missed, then built us a patio we use every single night.
Quoted clearly, showed up the day they said, and the site was cleaner when they left than when they came.
New sod and a retaining wall on a steep lot. Two winters later, nothing has moved.

Straight answers.
When does the landscaping season start in Calgary?
Usually once the ground thaws, around late April or May, and runs into October. Booking your site visit in winter or early spring gets you the best start dates.
How much does a paver or sandstone patio cost?
It depends on size, access and material. After a site visit you get a fixed written price for the agreed scope.
Will my patio heave with freeze and thaw?
Not if the base is right. We excavate, lay and compact a proper gravel base, and slope it so water drains away.
How soon can I use new sod?
Light use after about two weeks of regular watering, full use after roughly a month. We leave you a simple watering schedule.
Do you handle permits and utility locates?
Sample answer: describe how you handle locates and any permits for walls over a certain height.
